  1. There's no comments on here saying people have been doing keto for 5 + years because its a fad. I've been vegan 10 years – NOT a diet, I eat loads of fatty foods, carbs and protein foods. Dont count anything. All I know is that I won't be changing back. If I am trying hard to eat clean I go for Whole foods – as nature intended.

  2. What pisses me off about the keto cultists is that most of them are conspiracy theorists who outright lie and say shit like: 1. all carbs are the same, 2. fat is the most nutrient dense macro 3. carbs cause diabetes

    1. All carbs are not the same. A Snickers bar is not the same thing as a sweet potato. They are completely different nutritionally and have completely different glycemic index placements. And while all carbs are sugars, sugars come in varrying saccharides and the more complex the saccharide the less it spikes your blood sugar. That does matter. Carbs are not all the same. Nothing screams I don't actually understand nutrition more then when I hear people say all carbs are the same.

    2. Fats are great and necessary for hormone production, organ function and alternative fuel energy source. But they are not the most satiating or nutrient dense, not even close. They are actually the least nutrient dense. All a fat gives you is the fat. You need that fat, but that's all it gives you. I think you should do it if it works for you but don’t do it if it’s not gonna work for you because if you can’t sustain it it’s not sustainable but if you can sustain it then do it if it’s sustainable because everything is gonna work but nothing sometimes works so don’t do something a bit results to nothing if five years from now nothing is something and you don’t want to do something because it might be nothing. But at the end of the day there might be some studies coming out that shows neurological benefits and that’s a good thing but eight out of 11 subjects could not maintain muscle and that’s a bad thing but no matter what you do it’s going to be better from the starting point because you had no energy so now you have some energy but some energy is better than no energy if no energy is where you started so do it if it works for you but don’t do it if it doesn’t work for you because on this channel we want to support whatever works for you now by my program

  5. I agree 100%. I am 60, and 5' 10". I did Keto, and went from 250 to 170 lbs within a few months. Once I got to 170, I started lifting weights, as well as high carbs and protean.   8. it made me sick, body not feel right, esp version with higher fat (ex. cream sauces and cream in drinks). When I tried a version before but less fat I was ok. Maybe as Dr Berg says I need bile salts but honestly, it just doesn't feel right if even in the short-term weight comes off and many medical issues disappear. BUT what about in the future???? I think your kidneys and gall bladder gonna be f#. For example, I lost 60# in one year (I was 200 and 5'3") and I had two soy protein shakes and a meat and three (including some carb) and I did Zumba like everyday and took a small dose of hydroxycut BUT after the weight loss my mense would just pore out of me until I took vitamin K. A few years later, it happened again when I took a different brand of soy protein shake. So just cuz something works and you lose a lot of weight and feel great doesn't mean its good for you long-term. My effects happened fast enough but with keto you might not see it until many years. Of course some pips be ok. But I think a lot may get troubles. Its jsut a guy feeling, quasi-pun intended.

  10. Keto made me feel like total shit and I was on it for a year . It made me insulin resistant and I never had blood sugar issues . I ve always been thin in decent shape and keto made me feel like on another planet off and on . Im still struggling to get my blood sugar stable . Been slowly moving away from it for like 3 months now . I feel like shit everyday with blood sugars fluctuating .
