  2. I used one of these for the very first time recently. There was no one to ask about using it so I was pretty confused. I saw all the controls and thought I needed to turn on power somehow! I finally just used it as you do in your vid but I was still sure I needed to power it up somehow. Thanks very much for clarifying. That was my very first visit to a public gym because I've always worked out at home. My experience as a first timer was a little frustrating as the gym help were more interested in socializing with the the other staff and I was hesitant to bother other people while they were working out. Gym management should pay more interest in newcomers or they may not return!

  6. Jogging backwards makes you jump higher. Maybe backwards elliptical does the same. I know when I go backwards for the same amount of time as forwards I burn more calories going backwards on ellipticals.

  7. Going backwards works a different set of muscles. When going backwards, kind of “sit” into it. That works more of your butt muscles, you can definitely feel the burn!
